We own and run permanent camps across some of the most amazing countries in Africa, Asia and South America. No matter which country you choose to volunteer overseas in, our model remains the same. Our Camps are based alongside rural communities, built in a local style using local sustainable materials and are staffed by local people.
Nothing you see on this website will prepare you for the sensation of travelling with us. Our camps are built in the heart of the communities and wildlife reserves with whom we work and are staffed by the local people who have grown up there.
Before a camp is established we agree objectives with the local community to enhance their way of life, protect their environment and conserve the local wildlife. This process defines the purpose for each camp and the experiences that you as an overseas volunteer will immerse yourself in.
We provide a home from home, in the heart of the community.
Here’s a few of our favourite experiences:
Kenya – Spot the ‘Big 5’ on Safari in one of East Africa’s premier national parks, then watch the sunset over the savannah.
Tanzania – Meet a Maasai Tribe, sing and dance with one of Africa’s most iconic communities.
Borneo – Grab a kayak and explore the crystal clear waters off Mantanani Island.
Cambodia – Marvel at the temples of Angkor Wat where history and culture is all around.
Peru – Trek the Salkantay Trail to Machu Picchu, World Heritage Site and bucket list adventure.
Ecuador – Visit the world famous Galapagos Islands, seals splash in the waters and iguanas sunbathe on the beaches.
You’ll stay in a number of our camps during your volunteer programme, experiencing a variety of accommodations styles. Our locally employed kitchen teams will keep you fuelled with three delicious meals a day. There’s unlimited fresh water and a real mix of local cuisine and western classics. We cater for all dietary requirements and are dedicated to providing our volunteers with excellent food.
All our camps have clean and private toilet and washing facilities and although not all have hot water, you’ll find the cooler showers wonderfully refreshing when you’re working in such warm climates! There are chill out areas in each camp for you to kick back and relax in, many of which include camp fires, pool tables, hammocks, bean bags and of course amazing natural surroundings of beaches, jungles, savannahs and mountains!
