International Award – Silver

This seven day expedition is designed for students to develop communication, navigation, self reliance and team building skills. It will help to develop independence and a sense of personal responsibility. Participants will get to experience trekking through the beautiful countryside of India completing their Adventurous Journey (Silver).

Students will have already been given maps of the area they will be trekking in, and have knowledge of their route. They will complete the expedition by their own self-sufficient means, carrying all of their own equipment in order to successfully complete the Adventurous Journey phase of their International Award.

Day to day - Sample itinerary

Day 01


Travelling with a Camps International representative you will be met by our in-country team upon arrival in at Dehradun airport. After lunch, you will head out on a short hike to check all of your expedition equipment. This will be followed by a review of the expedition route and a briefing on local conditions to fully prepare yourselves for the beginning of your International Award adventure.

Day 02

Planning & Preparation

The day of final preparation will begin with a visit to Rishikesh to purchase any supplies that may be required for the upcoming trek. You will then make your way by bus to Gajja where you will disembark and trek for around 1 hour in order to reach the starting point of your expedition – Ghauthi Challi village.

Day 03

Ghauthi Challi to Passer Khet

You will start your trek by heading up to Ghanta Karna Temple, situated at 2,000m where you will stop for lunch. Once you are rested you will continue to trek down to Passar Khet village, where you will spend the evening.

Day 04

Passar Khet to Gullar

Today’s trek begins with beautiful forest surroundings before ascending along a ridge overlooking the valleys on both sides. After around four hours the route passes through Timli Village where there will be an opportunity for some interaction with the locals and starts to descend to the Gullar stream near Pipri village. Upon arrival at Pipri village you will be met by the bus, ready to take you back to camp.

Day 05

At the Camp

A rewarding day lies ahead after the completion of your trek, it will begin with a relaxing and rejuvenating yoga session on the beach by Ganga. You will then return for breakfast before the adrenaline adventure begins, the remainder of the day will be spent rafting along the Ganga river and rock climbing at the artificial climbing wall at camp, before an evening spent relaxing and reflecting on the adventure that you’ve had so far.

Day 06

Camp - Dehradun airport - Delhi

After breakfast you will kick start the day with the exhilarating experience of zip lining. You will then head to Dehradun airport for your transfer flight to Delhi, where you will spend your last evening enjoying a delicious meal of traditional cuisine.

Day 07


You will spend your final morning exploring some of the amazing sites Delhi has to offer before heading to the airport ready for your flight home.
